Dr. Laurel Cowie
Dr. Cowie has been living in and practicing chiropractic in Nova Scotia since 1990. After graduating from chiropractic college in Toronto, she took over an existing practice and has loved every minute here. She grew up in health-oriented family where her father was a chiropractor. "I found it amazing that patients here in Nova Scotia were so like the ones in my Dad's practice where I worked on Saturday mornings as a secretary. Hard-working, sincere, with love of their homes and families."
Dr. Cowie enrolled in chiropractic college somewhat late in life! She had already worked for fifteen years as a counsellor in community colleges helping people make changes in their careers and wanted to help people in an even more important way with their health and wellness. Not withstanding the late start, she graduated cum laude from clinic internship.
Dr. Cowie has served on the regulating body for chiropractic in Nova Scotia for many years in various capacities. She is the recipient of the Chiropractor of the Year award from Nova Scotia and of the Award of Merit for service to the profession from the Canadian Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Cowie lives in Bridgewater with her husband, Bill Pyke, a cabinet-maker, and Winston the canary. She likes to go up to camp at Kedge and to sail with Bill on Ra.
Dr. Cowie receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award of the NS Chiropractic Association in 2022.

She believes in a holistic approach and treating in a relaxed atmosphere. Bonnie has had much success with a variety of conditions and injuries in clients from the age of two months to 86 years.
Bonnie loves to cook; "I'm a real foodie; and talk recipes or whatever crops up with my clients." From uproarious laughter to complete silence and all things between, during a treatment Bonnie always goes with the flow.
Leona Silver
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Leona graduated from DeVry Institute and moved to the South Shore in 2006. Even though she's a city girl at heart, she is enjoying the slower pace of small town living. After being out of the work force for a few years, Leona is excited to be working at the clinic and meeting new people.
During her spare time, Leona enjoys spending time and having adventures with her son. There is no rest for this hockey and soccer mom.
